curry college invites nominations, expressions of interest, and applications for the inaugural position of vice president of diversity, equity, and belonging.

since its founding in 1879, curry college has been an innovative institution of higher education that emphasizes individualized education and personal development. the college’s rich history, with roots in the intellectual traditions of 19th-century new england, is foundational to its character. now well into its second century, curry has maintained a distinctive mission and commitment to student success, while creatively transforming itself over the years to meet new educational challenges.

reporting to https://www.curry.edu/about-us/academic-excellence/mission-and-leadership/meet-the-president the vice president will be a key member of the president’s cabinet and will serve as a trusted advisor to the president and other campus leaders. the vice president of diversity, equity, and belonging will engage readily with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader milton and boston community to lead the campus in developing a vision and strategy for advancing equity and inclusion among its constituents.

the ideal candidate will be passionate about advancing a broadly inclusive model to guide the college's efforts on issues of equity, belonging, and accessibility. in addition, they should have strong experience in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion issues at a senior level coupled with in-depth practice serving people of different identities and familiarity with these issues within the context of private higher education. the vice president will bring a social justice lens to the work and have a global/international perspective.

a terminal degree is preferred. significant experience in advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is required.
